Welcome to the
Florida Geriatrics Society
The Florida Geriatrics Society (FGS) is committed to the advancement of geriatric medicine and to the promotion of
the highest quality of care for geriatric patients in Florida. With the consistent increase in the elderly and aging population in Florida, it is important that both the medical community and the geriatric patients in Florida have a voice for positive change and an outlet for the distribution of educational and informational materials on geriatric care specific to Florida.
To accomplish this goal, the FGS works closely with its members to ensure that they have the latest information on technical and practical advances in geriatric care. The FGS also works to provide information on the latest legislative and regulatory issues that affect the practice of geriatric medicine and the patients who receive geriatric care. Educational programs are offered to enhance communication on the latest practice-related and regulatory issues to affect FGS members.
The FGS also offers a wide variety of specific services to its members, including CME-certified educational programs, alerts on breaking issues, a membership directory, various communication tools, and a central clearinghouse for information on geriatric care.
